Having now played both Bioshock and Bioshock 2 and loving the art style, I did a bit of research into it and decided to try my hand at a bit or Art Deco. In keeping with the sort of cityscape themes of Bioshock, I decided to create a small poster for the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world's tallest structure. It's made from a public domain vector graphic of the Burj Khalifa and combined with various other aspects of Art Deco, namely the colours and use of fonts and certain shapes (like the alternating sun-ray pattern).
I also played through the rest of Dead Space recently and enjoyed that. Alan Wake was also a very enjoyable experience, and I realize that I am really coming to enjoy 3rd person action and/or shooter games. In December I played through both Assassin's Creed games and had a great time with them also.
Right now I am trying to complete the campaign in Halo 3: ODST. Once I do, I will likely trade it in, along with Modern Warfare 2 and get Red Dead Redemption. I've never gotten into the Grand Theft Auto games, but this seems like the right game to make my foray into Rockstar's open world delights.
On a personal note, my girlfriend Steph and I have now been dating for 9 months.
That's all for now! I may have some more Art Deco stuff to show off in the future, though.
